Health Insurance
Health insurance is mandatory for all students. All undergraduate and Year Five students are required to be covered by the college policy. The policy offered through the college is from Markel Insurance  for U.S. students or TW Lord for International students. The cost for the insurance is included in the tuition bill. This insurance cannot be waived.  For office visits at Student Health Services, most lab tests and medications are covered.  The insurance company is billed by Student Health Services and there are no charges to the individual student.  Markel and TW Lord are the only insurance companies that are billed at the Wellness Center.

The policy for graduate and post-bacc students is $532, which may be waived with proof of coverage by another company. Students may be seen in the Health Center regardless of the type of health insurance.

Cost of Services
There is no fee for office visits to the student health center. Additional services provided on campus such as laboratory tests and immunizations will be billed either to the student's account or Markel insurance.

Confidentiality/Class Absence
All medical records and clinical consultations are strictly confidential. Records cannot be released without the written consent of the student.

The Student Health Center supports the ASC Honor System, and therefore does not issue excuses for missed classes.
