The Annual Fund Challenge Update
Starting February 1, both new and additional gifts received on or before April 15 are eligible to be matched dollar for dollar up to $150,000.
To inspire fellow alumnae to give generously to the annual fund this year, Trustees Libby Rhett Jones ’73 and Jeanne Kaufmann Manning ’72 have issued a challenge.

The Betty Sams Daniel ’39 Challenge
Agnes Scott women love a challenge, and the late Betty Sams Daniel ’39 was no exception.
Betty generously provided a $210,000 gift through her estate, and her family has agreed that the college can use this gift in her memory as a challenge grant for alumnae to create Agnes Advantage Award endowments. An Agnes Advantage Award will enable current students to connect classroom learning to the wider world through study abroad, internships or mentored research.
As the great-granddaughter of Col. George Washington Scott, Betty believed strongly in the transformative power of an Agnes Scott education. Your support of this exciting new initiative can provide students with an enriching, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Alumnae from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s are eligible—and encouraged—to participate in The Betty Sams Daniel ’39 Challenge.
