Laura LeDuc rejoined the Scottie coaching staff as head swim coach in 2007 and made an immediate impact. In just her first season LeDuc earned Coach of the Year honors at the Atlantic States Swim Championships, while coaching the first NCAA All-American in the history of Agnes Scott swimming.
From 1998-2003, LeDuc served as ASC’s assistant athletic director, NCAA compliance coordinator, and head soccer coach. In addition to coaching soccer, LeDuc served as the school's head basketball coach (1998–2001) and assistant swim coach (2001–03).
As a collegiate swimmer, LeDuc was Emory University’s first three-sport female athlete, competing in swimming (IM/dist. free), soccer (defender), and track and field (dist./mid dist.). LeDuc earned eight varsity letters over three years, multiple all-conference honors and was awarded Emory’s Bridges Trophy as the school's best all-around female athlete in 1990.
Over her career, LeDuc has amassed more than ten years of swim coaching experience at the youth, high school, and Division I and Division III collegiate levels. Among the colleges in which LeDuc has made coaching stops are Pepperdine University (Calif.), St. Francis College (N.Y.), and Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.).
In her five years as head soccer coach at ASC, LeDuc compiled a 41-39-3 record and brought the Scotties to a competive level on the national stage. Under her guidance, the team improved from the bottom 10% in NCAA Division III in 1998, to securing its first end-of-season NCAA Division III individual and team rankings in 2001. In 2002, LeDuc was recognized as the women's soccer "Coach of the Year" in the Great South Athletic Conference. Her teams also earned NSCAA team academic awards (team GPA of 3.0 or higher) each year.
LeDuc holds a B.A. in Music from Emory and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She and her husband, Chris Moyer, live in Decatur with their son Conrad and daughter Olin.
