Agnes Scott offers an intensive, five-week, summer language program at the University of Oviedo in northern Spain. The next departure date is summer 2008. The tentative dates are: June 24 - July 28, 2008.
Students will begin their experience with an orientation and four-day stay in Madrid before transferring to the city of Oviedo. Students will then live with local families and complete 80 hours of course work in Spanish language and if appropriate, history, literature and art.
Upon successful completion of the program:
- Participants will receive six academic credits in Spanish
- Intermediate course work will satisfy Agnes Scott's foreign language requirement
- Credits from more advanced coursework may be applied towards completion of minor in Spanish

The program is open to eligible students who have completed one year of college-level Spanish by the departure date.
