Global Connections is an international study-tour program led by Agnes Scott faculty during the January intercession or in late May. Prior to their travel, students begin their country-specific studies at Agnes Scott with one base course as well as orientation sessions. Students then spend two to three weeks studying in the cultural context of the country with opportunities to participate in research, journal writing, creative projects and group sessions.
Travel destinations have included Benin, Cuba, Czech Republic, England, France, Gambia, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Poland, Spain and Switzerland.
Requirements
- Attendance at all pre-departure orientation sessions
- Completed assignments associated with the program
- Students must be concurrently enrolled in the base course or have satisfactorily completed the base course during the past two academic years

This travel seminar to Chile will focus on redemocratization, globalization, and human rights. Worth two hours of credit, this Global Connections study/travel component complements Political Science 320:
