Atlanta Semester Program
Women, Leadership and Social Change
Women can change the world. Whether the CEO of a multinational corporation or the chair of a grassroots community organization, women leaders are making a difference in their homes, communities and the world.

The Atlanta Semester program, held each spring semester, puts you face to face with these women. Learn about their successes, the challenges they face and the opportunities they have created for themselves and for their organizations.

Our program is open to all female undergraduate students who have completed at least one year of college. About half of our participants come from institutions other than Agnes Scott.

With over 60 sponsor organizations ranging from the ACLU to Turner Broadcasting, our program can arrange an experiential opportunity that best fits your aspirations. You are also able to suggest new sponsors for consideration.

Atlanta Semester benefits
Our program provides an opportunity to:

  • Learn about urban issues and leadership roles
  • Network with powerful women leaders
  • Gain first-hand knowledge of an organization
  • Understand career options within social change organizations, government and industry

Visiting students
Non-Agnes Scott students who participate in the program will pay Agnes Scott spring semester tuition and fees, which represent half of the college’s yearly tuition and fees. If you are receiving financial aid at your home institution, some of it may apply to the cost of this program. For further information, talk to your financial aid office or call Isa Williams at 404 471-6886. Visiting students may select from a variety of our on-campus housing options. Your spring semester tuition and fees includes both on-campus housing and a meal plan.
